week 4-temporal identity with tag line
Temporal Identity-week 4 from lara hughes on Vimeo.
I found that this exercise was a warm up for assignment one -so i tried to concentrate on the mood and message of the piece. In this exercise i learned how to use blending moods to create more cohesion between still images.
I used a image of a little girl because like many kids - I enjoy riding in the bus and looking out the window at the world going by. So in a sense my target audience is of anyone who has always and will always like riding in a bus like a kid. I used both urban and rural images because I have been on buses in both areas.
When I look at this I think that I really didn't think about the introduction much.. it just starts.. the ending i did a little more cause the pictures slow down.
I used warms colours because I associate these colours with catching the bus(the bus is yellow and i also catch the bus in the day time usually. I also selected these colours because they provoke as sense of energy and calm at the same time-which are the emotions i feel when i catch the bus.
I had trouble when selecting the font for the tag line. I was aiming the font to look fluid-in motion like the bus and relaxing at the same time. I feel that i did achieve this however I am not 100% happy with it and if i had more time would select another font similar to this.
To make it more interesting i could of angled the photos to the angle of the front image to make it more realistic. I could of also used the camera a bit more, instead of just using the trasform position property.... zoomed in or made the camera shake.. like a bus does..cause it sure isn't as smooth as this ride!
